Biography (real name, age, ethnicity)
DJ Khaled’s real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled. He was born on November 26, 1975 in Louisiana, New Orleans, USA. His parents were Palestinians who had previously immigrated to the United States.
Khaled is Palestinian-American by nationality and Arabic by ethnicity. He inherited his passion for music from his parents, who were avid lovers of Arabic music. His people encouraged him to take an interest in music, as evidenced by the fact that he started disc jockeying in their garage at the age of 13. He has a brother – Alec Ledd (real name Alaa Khaled), who is an actor. DJ Khaled identifies as a devout Muslim.

career
The record producer began his musical career at a New Orleans record store called Odyssey. There he bonded with Birdman and Lil Wayne, who were up-and-coming hip-hop artists at the time. This was in 1993. After his stint with Odyssey, he moved to Miami where he began mixing reggae soundclashes, dancehall and hip-hop. whoops He also worked as a radio host at a pirate station in Miami known as Mixx 93.
His larger-than-life personality in the life of urban airwaves caught the attention of Luther Campbell, a member of the Miami rap group 2 Live Crew, who asked him to co-host his radio program, The Luke Show, giving Khaled his first took a long break. This was in 1998, and in the same year DJ Khaled became a member of the New Year’s hip-hop group called Terror Squad. This group consisted of members like Dre, Fat Joe etc. DJ Khaled was their official DJ.
He eventually got his own solo show at WEDR 99Jamz in 2003 and from there DJ Khaled never looked back, using his growing popularity and connections to maximum effect and eventually releasing his debut album Listen… the album in 2006 under the stable from Koch records. From 2006 to date, DJ Khaled has released a total of 11 studio albums.
His albums include – Listen… the Album (2006), We the Best (2007), We Global (2008), Victory (2010), We Are the Best Forever (2011), Kiss the Ring (2012), Suffer Success (2013), I Changed A Lot ( 2015), Master Key ( 2016), Grateful (2017), Father of Asahd ( 2018).
Two of those albums made it to the top of the Billboard US Top 200 chart, they are Major Key and Gratitude. Grateful’s second single entitled “I’m the One” featured Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne and propelled Khaled to the top of the Hot 100 chart.
DJ Khaled went by various monikers throughout his career before settling on his own name. These include Arab Attack, Big Dog Pitbull, Terror Squadian, Beat Novacane, the Don Dada, Mr. Miami, etc.
The DJ-turned-musician received several awards and nominations throughout his career. He won the BET award for Best DJ in 2011, 2012 and 2016. His 2017 collaboration “wild thoughts” with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller won the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Rap Vocal Collaboration.

Unlike most musicians who are usually involved, DJ Khaled is a man of a woman – he is married to Nicole Tuck. She is part Palestinian-American, part African-American. They were in a committed relationship for 11 years before getting engaged shortly before the birth of their son Asahd in October 2016. They reportedly got married after the birth of their son. Nicole is also the managing director of DJ Khaled.
