The actor and comedian was born on July 26, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Not much is known about his education and qualifications, but according to some sources, since childhood, he developed an interest in acting and started preparing to become an actor.

He started his career doing comedy and after many years in the business he landed the title of “Funniest Serviceman in America” and as his African American fan base grew he later won the “Funniest Black Comedian in San Diego”. With those two titles under his belt, he landed a spot as a stand-up comedian on the BET comedy show named Comic View .as host and he made history as the first white man to ever host the show. The comedian was also recognized by Ebony in April 2011 as ‘Black America’s Favorite White Comic’ and as his fame rose he was asked to produce stand-up comedies titled ‘Breakin’ Out The Park’ and ‘Urban Legend’. which went viral.. He would also be among the headliners of famous black comedian Martin Lawrence’s television series Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand-Up on Starz. Gary also has his own TV show on BET called The Gary Owen Show.
As an actor, Owen starred opposite actor and comedian Kevin Hart in the hit comedy Think Like a Man which is based on the book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man written by Steve Harvey. He was also in the films Rebound, Road Hillbilly, Papa Garderie and landed a recurring role as Zach on the Tyler Perry show House of Payne which aired on TBS. He was on the popular 2016 African American comedy Meet the Blacks in which he was cast as Larry.

The actor and comedian’s father is said to be Gary Owens and his mother is Barb Randall. He has six siblings, including two brothers and four sisters named: Dallas Edward Randall, Kyle Soto Randall, Emma Owens, Kayla Owens, Michelle Truss who is half black, and Ashley Muska. His family wasn’t very wealthy when he was growing up, so he would have spent his early childhood with them, living in a trailer park.
Misfortune, however, struck Gary in May 2015 when he lost his brother Dallas Randall to a heroin overdose.
