Born February 20, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stewart was raised by his mother, a homemaker, and stepfather, a microfilm technician. However, he attended Del Norte High School before moving on to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to learn about the world of acting. He later graduated with a BFA in theater.
