American soccer player Myles Garrett plays for the Cleveland Browns as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). The team selected him first overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Also, he had previously played college football at Texas A&M, rising as the #2 prospect in the US with a higher-rated defensive player as well. .

The soccer player was born on December 29, 1995 in Arlington, Texas, United States of America. He was born as the son of Audrey and Lawrence Garrett. He has the nationality of America, however he has a mixed African and American ethnicity. Myles has two brothers: older brother Sean Williams Garrett, who was a standout basketball player for Boston College. And his older sister, Brea Garrett, played track/field at Texas A&M.

For his education, he attended Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. From a very young age he began to get involved in different games such as basketball, athletics and soccer. He therefore became a lawyer in these games during high school. Additionally, he was ranked second best in his class and committed to playing college football with Texas A&M in 2013.

In his first year with Texas A&M, he had been voted the No. 2 overall and highest-rated defensive player the Aggies had signed. Additionally, he finished the season with 11.5 sacks, 53 total tackles, 14 missed tackles, 10 quarterback rushes. Later in sophomore year, he recorded his first interception of his own spiked ball against the ‘Ole Miss’ game. In addition, he received a first-team All-American selection from the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Football Writers Association of America.

In his rookie season he had to limit his games due to a sprained ankle in his left leg during the game against Arkansas. Later, he appeared on third downs in a few other games after recovery. Therefore, he officially announced that he intended to enter the 2017 NFL Draft in December 2016. In the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Garrett and he began playing defensive end.

At the beginning of the season, due to his injury, he had missed four games. But after recovery, he played his first regular season with the team on Oct. 8 and sacked Josh McCown twice. In 2018, he received a title as defensive captain for the 2018 season. After he recorded 13.5 sacks, 44 combined tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 29 quarterback hits, three passes defensed and three forced fumbles in the 16 games. In that year, due to 13.5 sacks, he ranked sixth in the NFL.

The year 2019 did not go well for him because half of the year had brought him some controversies. In September, he was fined for three fouls, a mask hit on Delanie Walker and also two rough passer fouls on Trevor Siemian. In the same year, November, he was involved in a fight with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. Also, as reported, Garrett knocked the Mason to the ground and yanked on Myles’s helmet. After a while, he removed Mason’s helmet and swung it toward his head. As a result, the NFL suspended him indefinitely and he missed the remaining game of the regular season and the 2019 postseason.
