The childhood home of Aussie actor Alex Dimitriades has come up for sale.
The two bedroom and one bathroom home at 145 Wardell Rd in Earlwood will be auctioned on April 1 with a guide of $1.2m.
Listed with Adrian William director Adrian Tsavalas, the property was the childhood home of Dimitriades – who first became well known for his roles as Nick Polides in The Heartbreak Kid and its spin-off Heartbreak High.
He also had various roles in Neighbours, The Slap, Amazing Grace, and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo.

The highly controversial Head On, in which he played the lead role, is arguably his most critically well received role, although he did win a Logie for his work in SBS’ crime series The Principal.
Dimitriades’ family sold the home to the current vendor in September 2010 for $661,000.
Over the past 12 years, the vendor has made various updates throughout the home and is now planning to downsize elsewhere in Sydney.
Mr Tsavalas said the property had received 36 groups over the weekend, many of who were first home buyers.
“Buyers have been attracted to the Art Deco style of the property seen in the timber floors and the ornate ceilings, it’s a great offering for the area.
“The property also features a lockup garage. The feedback we’ve received from buyers is that there’s a desire to purchase a property with more living space. In Marrickville, the average two bedroom semi usually gets around 150 sqm, here in Earlwood its 345 sqm.

Updates seen throughout the home include a modern kitchen, tiled bathroom with a vanity, and bi-fold doors leading out to the timber deck.
Location is also beneficial for the home, situated 650 metres away from McPherson Reserve and 750m to the Cooks River.
“Earlwood has become an attractive suburb as it provides the lifestyle seen in the Inner West without the plane noise. Many of the buyers we’ve seen aren’t actively searching for properties, but have been attracted by the value and the location of this home.
“One buyer has expressed interest to convert the living room into a third bedroom, so there’s future scope to expand it into a family home.
“Properties in the $1.2m to $1.5m price range have become a popular choice for first home buyers due to recent changes in stamp duty.”
Over the past year, the median home price in Earlwood has dropped by 10.2 per cent – with buyers currently paying $1.72m for the average property.
