BIOGRAPHY
A graduate in theater, Dominique Fishback appears furtively, alongside her career on the stage, in several series, such as The Knick , The Affair , The Americans and Blue Bloods , before finding a more substantial role in Show Me a Hero . In this HBO mini-series which relates the fight of a young mayor of Yonkers seeking to build social housing in a neighborhood predominantly occupied by whites, the actress plays a teenager who falls in love (and pregnant) with a little struck.
Dominique then played a prostitute in The Deuce also from HBO, a series led by James Franco on the rise of the pornographic industry from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s. In the cinema, she played the main character in the drama Long Way Home in 2019, a young woman freshly released from prison who seeks to avenge her mother killed by her father. The same year, she took part in the politically motivated The Hate U Give, which deals with police violence.
After playing the companion of African-American political activist Fred Hampton in the biopic Judas and the Black Messiah , Dominique Fishback takes part in the series The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray and Swarm . In 2023, the New York native will taste the joys of the blockbuster with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts , reboot of Michael Bay ‘s lucrative saga and sequel to Bumblebee (2018).
