BIOGRAPHY
Dana Delany leaves her native Connecticut for the very prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover before attending Wesleyan University . At 21, she moved to New York where she became a waitress while waiting to break through as an actress. Between two cocktails, she attended casting calls and made her debut in the soaps Ryan’s Hope , Love of Life and As the World Turns . She took her first steps in the cinema on the set of Fanatic , alongside Lauren Bacall . At the beginning of the 1980s, Dana Delany mainly performed on stage. His participation in the musical A Life earned him his first positive reviews from the press. After a role in Nicholas Kazan ‘s highly controversial Bloodmoon , she left Broadway and headed to Hollywood. And Hollywood is under its spell! Television welcomed her with open arms with Gary Sherman ‘s The Streets and the sexy Two Boys and a Girl in 1984. Dana Delany appeared in Moonlight , alongside Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd , crossed paths with Tom Selleck for several episodes of Magnum . Then, she got the lead role in Sweet Surrender . This comedy, about a woman who abandons her career for the benefit of her family, is canceled after only 6 episodes. Interested in more serious, even historical roles, she is Moya Trevor, the one who inspired the face of the Statue of Liberty for Bartholdi in the Franco-American TV film Liberty . In 1988, the young woman landed the lead role in China Beach , a series that deals with the Vietnam War. For 4 years, she will be nurse Colleen McMurphy. A role that earned him two Emmy Awards for four nominations, and two Golden Globe nominations. in which she opposite Steve Martin . In 1993, she sang in Tombstone and got her first big role on the big screen in Exit to Eden . Not abandoning television, however, she teamed up with Charles Bronson in Donato father and daughter , and found Kim Catrall in the brief Wild Palms . She plays Margaret Sanger, contraceptive pioneer, in Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story , and makes notable appearances in series such as Cheers , Spy Games and Associates for the Law .

A fan of dubbing, Dana Delany lent her voice to Andrea Beaumon in 1993 for Batman vs. the Masked Phantom . She participates in all 13 episodes of the Wing Commander Academy cartoon , alongside Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill . And from 1996 to 2007, she was the official voice of Lois Lane for Warner and DC Comics, in particular for Superman, the Angel of Metropolis .

She plays FBI agent Jordan Shaw for two episodes. This recognition allowed her to land, in the fall of 2010, a series just for her, still on ABC: the new police drama Body Of Proof , in which she plays forensic doctor Megan Hunt.
